Institution-to-institution relationships

Financial & Banking Partnerships

Start with a practical financial relationship. Technology can follow naturally.

Bastion builds production banking software. A relationship can also begin with a practical banking or payment need: we may be a potential customer of your institution, or explore cooperation through appropriately licensed financial institutions.

Relationship models

Cooperation built around a practical need.

A relationship can begin with services your institution provides, financial infrastructure it needs, a payment integration or a customer introduction. It does not require a software purchase or a wider technology transformation.

01

We may be your customer

Bastion may approach your bank as a potential customer for operational accounts, payments, settlement, FX and local banking rails. Where appropriate, affiliated financial institutions may also explore correspondent banking and other institutional services.

02

A two-way financial relationship

Your institution may also explore suitable financial and payment infrastructure through appropriately licensed affiliated or third-party institutions in our ecosystem. The relevant institution determines eligibility, availability and the terms of the relationship.

03

Payment & Technology Partnerships

Payment and technology companies can work with Bastion on practical integrations and opportunities to bring their capabilities into customer deployments — including issuing, acquiring, processing, FX, KYC and financial APIs.

04

Technology Modernization

Working together lets an institution get to know our team and operational approach. Where useful, this can lead to modernizing selected capabilities — web and mobile banking, onboarding, payments, cards, operations, support, compliance, ledger and reporting — while retaining its banking business, licenses, products and relationships.

05

Distribution & Commercial Partnerships

Financial institutions, consultants, payment companies and technology partners can introduce banks, EMIs and fintechs that need Bastion, without buying the platform themselves. The partner helps originate and develop the customer relationship; Bastion provides the technology and implementation. Commercial structures may include referral fees, commissions or agreed revenue- or profit-sharing models, subject to the individual agreement and applicable requirements.

Bastion Research is a technology company, not a bank or regulated financial services provider. Regulated financial services, where applicable, are provided by appropriately licensed affiliated or third-party financial institutions and remain subject to jurisdiction, eligibility, compliance approval and separate agreement.

The models above describe areas for discussion, not a promise of account opening or regulatory eligibility. The relevant financial institution confirms the scope and terms of any financial services.

An informed technology decision

Experience the technology in practice

In some financial and technology relationships, partners may interact directly with infrastructure powered by Bastion. This provides a practical view of the customer experience and operational capabilities behind the platform — before any broader technology modernization is considered.

Where relevant, the same technology can be adapted to modernize selected capabilities within the partner institution. Start with one module, one integration or a modern digital layer to improve client experience and streamline operations without replacing everything.

Financial cooperation has value in its own right. Technology adoption is a separate decision, guided by the partner's needs.
